FMM–LHDN Seminar on MyTAX Portal & Stamp Duty Compliance: Be Audit-Ready Before Enforcement & Avoid Costly Penalties

With the full enforcement of the Stamp Duty Self-Assessment System (STSDS) and increasing audit scrutiny by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM), it is critical for employers and businesses to ensure strict compliance with stamp duty requirements, particularly for employment and commercial instruments.

Effective July 1, 2026, organisations may face heightened audit exposure, penalties, and compliance risks if proper stamping procedures are not adhered to. The implementation of the MyTAX Portal has further transformed how stamp duty is assessed, submitted, and managed, requiring familiarity with its processes, documentation, and appeal mechanisms. This seminar provides practical guidance on navigating the MyTAX Portal, understanding stamp duty obligations, and preparing organisations to be audit-ready while minimising the risk of costly penalties.

By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:

Understand the key requirements of the Stamp Duty Self-Assessment System (STSDS) and Special Voluntary Disclosure Programme (PKPS)
Identify stamp duty obligations for employment contracts and commercial agreements
Apply the correct duty calculation, stamping procedures, and payment methods via the MyTAX Portal
Navigate the MyTAX submission & documentation workflow
Understand the appeal process, including timelines, grounds, and procedures
Prepare for audit readiness, compliance checks and implement risk mitigation to avoid penalties
